Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Jose is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This place is so delicious. The food tastes just like Malaysia, especially the kang kung belacan and nasi lemak. The hainan chicken rice is very tender. The roti canai is very crisp and not oily. Just the perfect amount of spice for a good kick! The owner is very kind and gave us extra chicken rice and pandan glutinous rice dessert. The self service herbal chicken soup is extremely tasty as well, not like the usual chicken msg soup and very soothing! Great spot, so happy to have a yummy Malaysian restaurant here!

Had the chance to finally try Chicken Licious and it definitely brought back memories of Singapore and Malaysian food! I lived in Singapore for 11 years, so I was excited to find a place serving authentic Malay flavors here. π It was my first time visiting, and Kevin was very welcoming and took the time to introduce the food and menu, which made the experience even better. We ordered the Nasi Lemak, and it was delicious β flavorful rice, tasty sides, and very comforting overall. They also gave free soup and water, which was a nice touch and showed great hospitality. The restaurant was clean, cozy, and had a warm atmosphere. You can really feel the passion behind the food. Congratulations on 4 years in business! Wishing Chicken Licious continued success and more happy customers to come. Will definitely be back again!

If youβre craving authentic Malaysian cuisine in the Bay Area, you need to check out Chicken Licious in San Jose! This place is such a gem, everything from the service to the flavors felt warm and homey. Right after ordering, the owner gave us a little soup cup to fill with warm chicken soup for free! It was the perfect cozy start. There are also two kinds of fruit-infused water, both super refreshing, especially with all the spicy dishes. The sauce bar deserves its own shoutout, there's so many options, and honestly every single one tasted great. My favorite was the spicy garlic sauce, it was absolute perfection with every dish. We ordered the Ayam Bakar meal, and it completely blew us away. The chicken was unbelievably juicy and packed with smoky, deep flavor. Even the rice was seasoned so well. Definitely a 10/10. The spicy Mee Goreng came loaded with shrimp and had the perfect kick and was another 10/10. We also tried the super hot popcorn chicken, which disappeared within minutes because it was that good. Super crispy, spicy, and addictive! To cool things down, we ended the meal with a pudding dessert, which balanced everything perfectly. The service was warm, the atmosphere w

Soooo underrated! The food was high quality, came out piping hot, and everything was flavored perfectly. This was pretty close to food I ate in Kuala Lumpur! I definitely recommend these three dishes if you're new to Malaysian food: Char Kway Teow, Curry Mee (Singaporean Laksa), and the Nasi Lemak Bento. You can't go wrong with Hainan Chicken too. Sooo tender and simply delicious. My favorite parts of the restaurant are the friendly service, sauce bar, huge selection on the menu, and the herbal chicken broth ON TAP! So good!
